BUFFALO, N.Y. — Paint and sips have become a popular pastime for a night out, but have you ever heard of a sip and melt?
In Niagara Falls, the new business It All Makes Scents gives guests the chance to enjoy a drink and customize a candle. And although some parties can include drinks, it's really an event that's fun for the whole family.
The Black-owned business uses organic ingredients in its hand-poured candles made with love. Up to 15 people can come to a workshop and choose their own candle color, fragrance and container.
The husband and wife team also takes their wax-pouring talents on the road, going to East Community High School's Saturday Academy to show kids how the science behind the scents.

The owners say it's been a blessing to work with the community and they're grateful for the support they've received to help make their dream business a reality.
"It is amazing," said owner Tawana Johnson. "It is a lot of hard, hard work. My husband and I are living proof that if you want to do something, you can do it. You just have to take that extra step. Lots of prayer, lots of prayer and hard work and never give up just follow your dreams you can do it.“
