Organized by professional photographer Marcie Delapaz and Stapleton coffee shop owner Amira Cintron, the collaboration kicked earlier in the spring. Delapaz will serve complimentary mimosas this Saturday. She additionally will snap keepsake photos for shoppers.
Vendors sell cosmetics, resin artwork, bath products, candles and scented oils, handmade crystal jewelry and intricate soy wax figures. Also on display are soaps pressed with dried organic flowers, magnetic eyelashes, custom candles and fragrances.
Cintron sells cookies, sorrel and treats that come from her Van Duzer Street coffee shop, Amira’s Cafe ‘n’ Bistro. For the locavore, there are items like local honey from Beezy Beez and cupcakes from Amanda and January Lullo’s Lullo’s Sugar Rush.
The Staten Island Food and Art Market can be found at 20 Cebra Ave. in the heart of Tompkinsville also known as “Little Lanka,” a nod to the concentration of Sri Lankan shops and restaurants. Parking can be found along Victory Boulevard. Vendors can contact Delapaz directly at 347-422-4056. The website with updated vendors is SIFoodAndArtMkt.com.
