Aldi is well known for make up products that look and perform like higher end brands, or skincare inspired by cult bestsellers. However, it’s not just our faces that Aldi are serving up budget-friendly dupes for – there’s also plenty of home fragrance and candles on sale that look and smell similar to high-end brands such as Jo Malone and The White Company.

We’ve rounded up the Aldi candle and home fragrance products inspired by expensive brands. Remember, Aldi products tend to land in drops online and in-store, so not everything is available at once – but the hunt is all part of the fun!

Aldi: Hotel Collection Tuberose, Cashmere & Ylang- Ylang XL candle, £8.99

Dupe for: The White Company’s Tuberose and Cashmere Scented Candle, £60

The most recent exciting news regarding Aldi candles is the return of its Hotel Collection supersized candles, which offer a whopping 65-hour burn time.

There are three scents available:

The last of these is said to be a good dupe for The White Company’s Tuberose and Cashmere Scented Candle, which costs £60. If that’s a bit out of your price bracket, then this £8.99 XL candle looks like a good option!

Dupe for: Jo Malone London Pomegranate Noir Home Scented Candle, £42, John Lewis & Partners

Aldi’s Luxury Fragranced Candles are 290g, while the luxe Jo Malone version comes up at 200g. The throw of the former isn’t quite as strong, but it still burns evenly and fills a space with ease. The Aldi candles are also available in several other Jo Malone-esque scents – Blackberry Bay, Peony Blush, and Lime Basil & Mandarin. Top tip: there’s perfume versions too.

Aldi says: ‘Giving your home a cosy warmth with the flicker of the flame, the delicious smell will comfort you throughout cold evenings.’

The reviews say: ‘This candle was recommended by a friend so I bought it to try, then ordered another 5 online. Amazing smell looks fabulous and incredible value.’
