Owner, founder, & candlemaker of H+H Collection, Jennifer Penner opened a business that is not likely to be found anywhere else in Kansas. Her unique store isn’t all about selling her handmade products that are toxin-free scented candles with ordinary boutique items, instead H+H Collection also offers a Pour Room & an Eco Shop.

The Eco Shop is filled with local Kansas artisans, who share the same passion in their products as Penner does, clean eco-friendly non toxin & chemical free lifestyle of home essentials products. The Pour Room is a whole experience. Penner explains this is where you become the candlemaker, using our vegan ingredients to help you create your very own eco-friendly custom scented candle. Select + Blend + Stir is the terms she uses to help guide her customers into creating their candle.

“We thrive on clean eco-friendly products for our home, even through the simplicity of a candle,” Penner said. “Both of our two sons, who had suffered with allergies and our oldest who had battled with asthma. We couldn’t just bring in any fragrance into our home due to triggering our boys’ flare ups or causing us to have migraines and headaches. I just wanted to create a change of a clean healthy lifestyle, including home fragrance products.”

Friday was a dream come true for H+H Collection as it celebrated a grand opening and ribbon cutting surrounded by family, friends, leaders, and business owners throughout the community of Augusta, with special guest from Experience El Dorado & From the Land of Kansas.

The event was hosted by GoAugusta and organized by Penner. Penner said to her husband and boys is this really happening to our business, where they all reminded each other where they had started to where their business is at today. From an idea to a kitchen, to a basement, to a backyard studio to now a downtown storefront. This is truly a blessing and all we can say is an overflow of God’s promises, Ephesians 3:20 is really happening for our family and our business with a huge gratitude to our family, friends, and customers and business partners through our growth.

Penner said upcoming events inclue a Candle Workshop, partnered with Experience El Dorado, at 430 N Main-Train Depot in El Dorado, KS from 6-8 pm Friday, May 6, 2022.
