Lush has taken its signature scents and turned them into sweet scented candles
Anyone who has walked past a Lush store will have noticed the strong scent that is very distinctly Lush. Bath bomb lovers may even notice the scent completely transforms whatever room you store them in (for me I keep them in my wardrobes so that my clothes always smell amazing).
So, when Lush revealed that it was releasing a range of candles, I was absolutely thrilled. As someone who loves candles, wax melts and all things scented, I couldn't wait to get my hands on some.
The candles are soy-free and vegan and come in a small frosted glass jar that's so pretty and easily reusable. Pried at £12 each, I thought the cost wasn't too unreasonable, but they do only have a burn time of 12-15 hours.
It's advised to burn the candles for 3 hours at a time so you would get an average of four uses for each one. I'd dedicate the Lush candles to evenings of pampering or when you want to indulge yourself.
There are three candles in the range, Sleepy, Orange Blossom and The Olive Branch. The Olive Branch comes in a vibrant pink colour that is cheerful and refreshing, I think this is a lovely candle to burn early in the day as it will perk you right up.
Orange Blossom is more of a yellow colour and smells quite earthy with a strong sandalwood scent. I think it would work well in the afternoon and is mild enough that it doesn't feel too overpowering.
My favourite has to be the Sleepy candle though. The Sleepy range from Lush is well known for being perfect for unwinding and getting yourself settled for a good night's rest - I know that I found myself leaning on the lotion and Twilight pillow mist over the New Year.
The candle feels muted and slightly less sweet than the lotion, although lotions react differently to individual pH's so this will vary from person to person. I think it's a lovely option for those trying to get a better night's sleep and that they candles make a great gift.
