As the old saying goes, to everything there is a season, and scented candles are no exception. While pumpkin spice is standard fare for fall, come springtime it’s positively cloying. Instead, spring calls for fresh aromas, clean florals, and a blend of fresh-cut grass and April showers.

With this in mind, we’ve pulled together a list of some of the internet’s favorite spring-scented candles. These are the scents that will bring the outdoors indoors and have your kitchen smelling like tulips while the sweet smell of honeysuckle wafts from your bedroom.

Every year, pear trees are among the first to blossom, opening up sometime between mid-February and early April. The flowers are a sure sign of spring, and pear blossom candles are an attempt to capture the seasonal shift in a jar.

Home Worx makes a lovely pear blossom candle that also brings in notes of water lily, peach, and camellia blossom. The four wick candle burns for up to 55 hours, and has QVC buyers raving, with one on-site review noting that the “very calming” candle “fills [their] whole house with garden freshness.”

One of Amazon’s most popular Yankee Candles, the brand’s Lilac Blossoms scent comes in a variety of sizes and iterations. Intended, Yankee Candles says, to take buyers “to an alluring grove filled with lavender, white, and deep purple lilacs,” the candle is made of quality paraffin grade candle wax that we loved when we tested them.

The jar candles are also 100% recyclable in partnership with TerraCycle, meaning you’ll be able to do your part for the Earth while also enjoying the scent of spring.

A scent that’s meant to invoke not just a season but a year, Nette’s Spring 1998 candle gives off a pure white floral scent that blends freesia, petitgrain, neroli, and orange flower. The soy-wax candle is hand-poured and uses all-natural fragrances, making it clean and sustainable. As if that wasn’t enticing enough, there’s always the candle’s label, which describes the scent as “graduation day, white flowers thrown in the air, heady sunshine leaking all over the ground …  hope and endless possibility.” If that’s not spring, then we don’t know what is.

Made of a blend of beeswax and coconut wax, Hartwell’s Honey Blossom candle offers a sweetly scented blend of orange nectar, fresh honey, lily of the valley, rosewood, and sweet sugar. The 12-ounce candle has a 100% cotton wick, so it burns clean, and QVC shoppers note that, even after the candle is snuffed out, the scent tends to pleasantly linger.

Its maker says this candle blends “bright bergamot swirls with freshly cut grass, herbal clary sage, and green banana,” and it certainly does capture the scents of a morning at the farmer’s market in a ceramic vessel. We’ve tested Hive & Wick candles in the past and loved them. This hand-poured beeswax version burns for about 30 hours, and looks so cute that you’ll want to keep its jar around even after the scent is all burned out.

A candle that blends both beautiful fragrance and adorable aesthetics, Wood & Wine Succulents spring candle is inspired by beautiful fields of California wildflowers. (Each candle is actually poured in southern California, so it’s safe to assume that the company knows what it’s talking about, too.) As if the candle’s lovely scent wasn’t enough, it’s also uniquely styled, with adorable wax succulents poking out of the top of each candle’s top surface.

Fans of Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day products will be pleased to know that the brand doesn’t just make sanitizing sprays, soaps, and rinses: It also makes a variety of candles. For spring, Amazon buyers love the honeysuckle scented candle in a tin, which is little, but packs 12 hours of burn time. Take it in a suitcase on the road, and use it to set a vibe in a sterile hotel room. The soy wax candle has a cruelty-free formula that uses fragrant essential oils, and Amazon customers call it “long-lasting” and “great-smelling.”

For many parts of the country and the world, spring means rain. Village Candle has attempted to capture the scent of recent showers in its Rain candle, which it says also contains notes of bergamot, lily, and amber. The dual-wick jar candle is beloved by Amazon buyers, who say the scent is long-lasting and that the candle is surprisingly slow-burning.

A sprinkle of rain just won’t do it for you? Maybe you’d prefer a storm. Lorenzen Candles says its Spring Storm scent “smells like rain drops falling on your nose while you walk through a meadow of carnation, lily, jasmine, and violet.”

The candle also uses tuberose, lemon, and grapefruit essential oils, as well as wax made from soybeans grown in the U.S. Midwest. One Amazon customer said they ordered this candle after they moved to a drier part of the country and it did a great job of summoning up the scent of a big spring storm.

Another freshly floral candle, La Jolie Muse’s Midnight Tulip jar candle is encased in beautifully embossed orange glass. Meant to suggest a fragrant spring evening rather than a crisp day, the candle uses hints of violet, jasmine, and patchouli to complement its black tulip notes.

The eco-conscious, vegan candle burns for upwards of 40 hours, and can be cleaned out once its empty, meaning it can have a second life as a storage vessel or a vase.
