The Big E is back for the 2022 year offering a variety of attractions like beer gardens, a 150-foot ferris wheel and food tents around every corner of the fair.
But as the largest fair in New England, nothing at The Big E quite represents all six New England states quite like the state buildings on the fairgrounds.
Better known as the Avenue of States, this road is located right next to gate 1 of the fair and spans the whole length of the States Avenue road. See below to find its location on the map of the fair.
The Avenue of States showcases each house from all six New England states.
The Eastern States Exposition founder Joshua L. Brooks wanted state buildings at the fair that would “unite the agricultural and industrial parts of the exposition and showcase traditional and new products and attractions that make each New England state unique,” The Big E website reads.
From a Maine whoopie pie to Massachusetts sports apparel, here are five things you can see and buy at each of them.
